Ever feel like you’re running on fumes, both physically and emotionally? We all know the drill: the endless to-do list, the constant feeling of being behind, and the dreaded “I’m too busy” response that becomes our default. But here’s the thing – are we truly that busy, or are we creating this frantic pace ourselves? In Japanese, there’s a hidden truth – the character for “busy” is literally made up of symbols for “lose” and “heart.” It’s not that we lack time, it’s that our hearts are overflowing, leaving no space for the things that truly matter. The answer, my friend, might surprise you: it’s not about squeezing more into your day, but creating space for less. Imagine this: waking up just 15 minutes earlier, a small gift of time for yourself. Sit up tall, lengthen your spine, and take slow, deep breaths from your belly. Feel your breath calming your mind, washing away the frenzy. Now, grab a cup of coffee or tea, savor the warmth, and peek out the window. Listen for the birdsong, the gentle murmur of life outside your bubble. In this quiet space, something magical happens – your mind unwinds. Fifteen minutes, that’s all it takes to break free from the busy trap. It’s a reminder that true peace doesn’t come from cramming our days, but from creating space for our hearts to breathe. So, give yourself the gift of a quiet start, and see how much lighter your day feels.

finding you in the quiet
Let’s be honest, haven’t we all dreamt of having a “think about nothing” button? Between work, errands, and the constant social media buzz, our brains feel like a hamster on a never-ending wheel. We race through life, barely glancing at the scenery, let alone ourselves. But here’s the thing: true happiness might not lie in checking off more boxes, but in creating space for…well, emptiness. Imagine this: ten whole minutes. Just you, a comfy spot, and permission to let your mind wander. Picture yourself sitting on a park bench, the sun filtering through the leaves. You hear the joyful chirping of birds, the gentle rustle of the breeze, and the calming rhythm of your own breath. Now, thoughts might pop up like uninvited guests at a party. Don’t fight them, just acknowledge them politely and send them on their way. It’s in this quiet space, free from the usual mental traffic, that you start to rediscover yourself. The you that’s been buried under deadlines and “shoulds.” You might be surprised by what you find – a forgotten passion, a spark of creativity, or simply a feeling of peace that washes over you like a warm wave. This is the magic of doing nothing. It’s not about laziness, it’s about giving yourself permission to breathe, to reconnect with the simple joys in life, and most importantly, to reconnect with yourself. So ditch the to-do list for ten minutes today. Find your quiet corner, and see what treasures you unearth within the beautiful silence.
brighter skies are ahead
Let’s face it, life can feel like a dark tunnel sometimes. You keep pushing forward, but the walls seem to close in, and it’s hard to see any light at the end. But here’s the thing: tunnels do have ends. There is always light waiting for you on the other side. Ponder of hope like a tiny seed. It might seem insignificant, especially when you’re buried under a pile of worries. But that seed, if nurtured with a little belief, has the potential to blossom into something incredible. It can push through the cracks, reach for the sun, and surprise you with vibrant flowers. Believing in a higher power, the Almighty as you call it, is like giving that seed the perfect growing conditions. It’s the sunshine that warms its leaves, the rain that nourishes its roots, the trust that allows it to unfurl its petals. When you have faith, you’re essentially saying, ” I trust that you have something amazing in store for me, even if I can’t see it yet.” And guess what? Almighty tends to reward that trust. It might not happen overnight, but slowly, things will start to shift. Opportunities you never knew existed will appear. Challenges you thought were insurmountable will find resolutions. It’s like the clouds parting after a storm, revealing a breathtaking view you couldn’t have imagined while you were huddled under cover. Remember, when you feel lost in the darkness, remember the seed. Hold onto that flicker of hope, nurture it with belief, and trust that there’s a whole world of sunshine waiting for you on the other side. Just keep pushing forward, and you’ll be amazed by what you find.
the everyday joy
Imagine waking up to a brand new notebook. Crisp, clean pages waiting to be filled with your story. That’s what each day is – a fresh start, a chance to write a new chapter. The Almighty, in his infinite wisdom, has gifted us with another 24 hours. Isn’t that amazing? But sometimes, life throws us curveballs. We get bogged down by yesterday’s mistakes or stressed about the blank pages of tomorrow. We forget to appreciate the beauty of the open page in front of us – the present moment. Here’s a secret: true contentment isn’t found in chasing some grand tomorrow or dwelling on a faded yesterday. It’s about savoring the present moment, the inkwell full of possibilities right at your fingertips. Think about it like this: have you ever gotten so caught up in scrolling through your phone that you miss a breathtaking sunset happening right outside your window? It’s a metaphor. Gratitude is like stepping away from the screen of everyday noise and turning your gaze to the real wonder unfolding before you, the blessings specifically catered for you that you don’t notice. Look around. Notice the tiny details – the warmth of the sun on your skin, the sound of laughter in the distance, the vibrant colors of the world. There’s always someone who has less than you, even if it’s just a roof over their head or a full belly. Taking a moment to appreciate these blessings, big or small, shifts your perspective. It reminds you that you’re already rich in ways that matter most. Connecting with the Almighty is another powerful tool for finding contentment. When you acknowledge a higher power, it puts your worries in perspective. You realize you’re part of something bigger, and that can bring a deep sense of peace. So, while you read the blog for today, let’s decide something. Today, let’s close the photo album of yesterday and stop flipping through the worry pages of tomorrow. Let’s open the fresh notebook of the present moment, fill it with gratitude, and connect with something bigger than ourselves. That’s the recipe for a truly content and joyful day. Remember this when hardship hits you. Come back again to read. I will be waiting for you in this garden of words and hope. God bless.
rowboat in the hurricane
As a writer, I have always tried to be an instiller of hope to my readers. I don’t want anyone to feel down. We’ve all been there. You know the feeling: adrift in a sea of troubles, waves crashing over the deck, and the horizon lost in a thick fog. Helpless. Hopeless. Powerless. Like you’re just a tiny rowboat caught in a hurricane. It’s easy to want to throw in the anchor, curl up in the bilge, and wait for the storm to pass. But here’s the thing: giving up is never the answer. Even when the fiercest gales are howling, there’s always a flicker of hope, a tiny ember glowing in the heart of the storm.
Think of hope like a stubborn lighthouse. It stands tall amidst the chaos, its beam cutting through the darkness, reminding you that there’s still land ahead. It might be faint, barely a speck on the horizon, but it’s there. And that is enough. Because that tiny speck is where your destination lies, a calm harbor waiting to welcome you after the storm.
Now, we all know storms can be disorienting. Sometimes, the crashing waves make it hard to see where you’re going. That’s where faith comes in. It’s the hand on the tiller, steady and strong, guiding you through the roughest seas. It’s the unwavering belief that even when you can’t see the way forward, there’s a higher power watching over you, a captain who knows the course even when the charts are washed away. Cling to that hope, my friend. Cling to the faith that there’s something bigger than the storm, a calm that awaits you on the other side. Because even the fiercest tempests eventually run out of steam. The sun will peek through the clouds again, and you, battered but not broken, will find the strength to steer your ship towards calmer waters. Remember, you’re not alone in this journey. I wrote this so that next time you feel like you’re drowning in a sea of troubles, take a deep breath, and look for that glimmer of hope. Think about what you just read. At that stage, it might be a kind word from a friend, a beautiful sunset, or a simple act of compassion. Hold onto it, nurture it, and let it be your guiding light and rely on the divine. After all, the bravest sailors aren’t those who never face storms, but those who weather them with hope in their hearts.
advancing to new chapters
We’ve all been there – relentlessly replaying past hurts and mistakes over and over in our minds like a broken record. Maybe it was a missed career opportunity, or simply harsh words said in the heat of the moment hampering relationships. No matter what it was, you can’t seem to let it go. The memories keep you up at night, rehashing those painful scenarios and “what ifs” until your mind is utterly exhausted. Dwelling on the past is like dragging a heavy anchor behind you everywhere you go. With all that extra weight, it’s impossible to move forward and enjoy the journey ahead. You’ll just get stuck spinning your wheels in the mud, expending tons of energy but going nowhere fast. Life becomes an endless cycle of looking backward instead of being present and appreciating what you have right here and now. I get it, letting go is hard. Our past experiences, good and bad, have shaped us into who we are today. Rehashing them provides a strange sort of comfort, like putting on a ragged old sweater you’ve had forever. While it may be frayed, faded, and doesn’t fit quite right anymore, there’s still a familiarity to having it wrapped around you. But at some point, you’ve got to be willing to take that sweater off and toss it in the donation bin. Why? Because there are so many better things awaiting you when you finally let yourself advance to a new chapter.
Just think about a butterfly emerging from its chrysalis. If it stayed too fixated on the caterpillar way of life, it would never experience the profound beauty and freedom of flying. Those days of inching along on tiny legs and munching on leaves have served their purpose. Now it’s time for something far greater – soaring high above it all with a breathtaking new perspective. Each phase has its purpose, but you can’t fully embrace the next one while trying to cling to the last. The universe has this funny way of putting obstacles and detours on our path to help re-route us towards something better, even if we can’t see it at the time. So instead of dwelling on past pains and mistakes, look for the signs revealing your new way forward. Maybe it’s a chance encounter, a nagging intuition, or a door that keeps opening back up. There’s an amazing new adventure on the horizon, one that’s custom-designed just for you. But you’ll never discover it if you don’t let go of what’s already behind you. Have courage and take that first step into the great unknown.
dreams not on your schedule
Have you ever been stuck waiting for something you really wanted? Maybe it was getting into your college, landing your perfect role at work, etc. The wait can be agonizing, right? You make all these plans in your head about how amazing life will be once you get what you’re after. But then…nothing happens. I’ve been there more times than I can count. When is it going to be my turn? Why does it seem to happen so easily for others? Is the universe just messing with me? Here’s the thing though – nothing worthwhile ever comes easy.
The best things in life, the ones that truly make you feel alive, always require patience. Think about a delicious, home-cooked meal simmering on the stove. You can smell the incredible aromas wafting through the kitchen. But if you rush it and take it off the heat too soon, you’re left with a bland, disappointing mess. Life works in a similar way. You can beg and plead all you want, but trying to force things before their time never works out well. Instead, you need to trust in the process, have faith that everything will unfold exactly as it’s meant to. When you’re fixated on an outcome, you miss out on the beauty of the journey itself. The next time you catch yourself stressing over when your wishes will be granted, take a breath. Step back and appreciate how far you’ve already come. Your dreams are coming, maybe not on your schedule, but on a timetable choreographed by a higher power that knows what’s best. All you can control is staying true to yourself and keeping an open heart. The rest will follow when the time is right.
the invisible ballet
As we go about our day, we likely perceive the world around us as constant and still – a fixed stage where we are the star player. The buildings, roads, and backdrops to our life all seem unmoving and permanent. But what we cannot perceive with our limited senses is the intense choreography of movement and change happening all around us at every second. A dizzying, unseen kinetics occurring both in the vastness of the universe and within the smallest microscopic dimensions. On the grandest scale, the planet we call home is whirling around the sun at 67,000 miles per hour. And our entire solar system is orbiting around the center of the Milky Way galaxy at over 500,000 miles per hour. All the while, the galaxies themselves are hurtling through the ever-expanding universe in an elaborate ballet of motion. Zoom down to the tiny realm of atoms, and even the seemingly solid objects in our mundane world are vibrating with incredible intensity as their building blocks in constant motion.
The nuclei of every atom we’re made of are being perpetually pelted by other subatomic particles and held together by the strong nuclear force to create the illusion of tangibility. Even the air we breathe is an anarchic molecular frenzy, with billions of gaseous atoms bouncing off each other and the surrounding surfaces in an endless kinetic flurry. All of this frenzied activity and perfectly choreographed, intersecting movement is happening all around us constantly, yet we cannot directly perceive any of it with our limited senses. It’s taking place in higher and lower dimensions beyond our range of perception. This unseen cosmic choreography is one glimpse of astonishing finely-tuned design and planning that points to the brilliance of the Almighty orchestrating it all. Each intricate movement happening in perfect coordination and timing to allow for the fleeting materiality we call the world. As we go about our day, no longer be deceived by what we cannot see with our physical eyes. There is an entire expansive reality unfolding in the hidden divine choreographies all around us, from the subatomic to the intergalactic. Through deep contemplation, we can appreciate this unseen artistry of what transcends our sensory limitations.
sleepwalking minds
Imagine being given a phenomenally valuable gift, but only having it for an extremely limited time. You’re told the gift is so precious that you’ll be asked to give an account of every single moment you had it. How would you cherish and make the most of that gift? That metaphor is our existence. The life we have now, which seems so permanent and unquestionable, is in fact more temporary than we realize. From the moment of your birth, the countdown has begun towards the day when we need to depart from this world. Me and you should ask within whether we are slowly developing into heedless souls who wasted this amazing gift by sleepwalking through it, consumed by chasing temporary whims? Or did we use our divine-given intellect to deeply ponder our purpose?
In my personal reflections, what I have noticed is that most people go through life in a semi-conscious trance. We’re vaguely aware of our ultimate fate, but we carry on mindlessly as if this will never end. We are overly consumed with acquiring possessions, social status, or indulging our egos and desires, none of which will accompany us to our grave. But occasionally we’re shaken awake by the stark realization of how everything can be ripped away from us at any moment. Through illness, natural disasters, freak accidents – glimpses of how feeble our grip on this worldly life really is. These are wake-up calls from the divine, alerting us to stop living like hostages to distracting delusions and turn towards our real purpose through deep reflection. The truth is, we have no way of knowing when our final moments will be. While we have this breath of life, we must make efforts to make the most of our intellect to contemplate the eternal realities. This world is but the blink of an eye. It’s time to awaken ourselves.
the extraordinary hidden in the ordinary
All around us, each moment is filled with extraordinary realities that we simply cannot see. Not because they are truly hidden, but because we have been enveloped in a veil of heedlessness that blinds us from perceiving them. Have you ever really pondered the humble apple before biting into it? Beneath that thin peel is a whole universe of complexity. The peel itself is an exquisitely designed package, crafted to lock in the fruit’s flavor and freshness to perfection. And what about the apple’s color, fragrance, and intricate texture? All springs forth from mere dirt through a process modern science cannot replicate. Or have you contemplated why you can so easily swat a fly, despite it beating its wings hundreds of times per second? The design of its anatomy allows it to hover through the air with impeccable precision and maneuverability.
We are surrounded by such astounding marvels, from the veins coursing through a leaf to the mind-boggling operations of our own cells. Yet we carelessly overlook them, like an audience member at a magic show who misses every astonishing feat happening right before his eyes. This is the spell of heedlessness that affects the majority of us – being so dazed by our inherited lifestyle habits and traditions that we remain blinded to the stark realities unveiling the majesty of Almighty.
But we have been blessed with the sacred gift of our thinking minds, that we may use them to part the veils and truly witness the brilliance surrounding us. To pause, ponder, and be struck with awe by the magnificent signs of the divine’s fabulous artistry everywhere we look. All it takes is making the conscious choice to embrace profound thought. To use the intellectual faculty that is bestowed upon us for its very purpose – as a key to discern and appreciate the hidden wisdom woven into every fiber of this universe. We have to wake up from our slumber of heedlessness. Pausing and deeply reflecting with intention on the marvels we are ordinarily blind to, will render us stunned by what our thinking mind can unveil right before your eyes.
